In-Person and Remote Work: We’re committed to promoting productivity, collaboration, and flexibility at work. That means offering administrative staff opportunities to do work at home (or wherever they can focus best) part of the time and to connect with colleagues in person at our bakery and office space.

Personal Paid Time Off (PTO): We know that our hard-working team deserves to rest and relax. That’s why we close our organization’s doors twice a year for one week (in July and December) and take time away from our work. We also give everyone the chance to take additional paid time off according to their PTO balance, so they can come back refreshed and ready to help us fulfill our mission. Unused PTO does not roll over year-to-year, it must be used within the fiscal year.
There are two holidays that fall on a Monday when the bakery is closed (Memorial Day and Labor Day). Full-time bakery staff will have the option to convert those days into PTO hours to be used during the same fiscal year instead. You must submit the request to convert these hours in the corresponding holiday pay period, otherwise you will not be compensated for those hours and they will not be available for use at a later date.

Supplementary Insurance: Life happens, and we want our team members to be prepared. That’s why we provide affordable supplemental insurance options through AFLAC. This gives interns and staff the chance to take advantage of group rates for life insurance, cancer insurance, and accident insurance.

Bonus Incentive Plan: To achieve success, we all have to work together. That’s why we share in our success together, too. All eligible full-time employees will receive year-end bonuses when they reach their goals. All part-time professional employees will receive either a financial bonus or balance of PTO, their choice, when they reach their goals.

Paid Sabbatical: We know you have big dreams and goals that may require extended time away from work. Every three consecutive years, full-time salaried employees are eligible to take a paid, one-month sabbatical to pursue those big dreams, have new adventures, and recharge.

PTO for Community Service: We celebrate community involvement and making the world a better place. That’s why we encourage our team to take up to 2 days per year of paid time off for community service activities of their choosing. This is totally optional, but a benefit we celebrate and encourage. Unused PTO for Community Service does not roll over year-to-year, it must be used within the fiscal year.

All-Team Workshops: We’re passionate about personal growth, and we hire people who are, too. From weekly writing circles to monthly group processing sessions, we regularly come together to take on topics like the enneagram, life planning, personal goal setting, and creativity.

Team Rejuvenation Events: We’re better as a team when we have time to enjoy each other’s company. We regularly set aside time for our team to get out of the grind, relax, and have fun.

Annual Professional Development Budget: As the saying goes, to know better is to do better. That’s why Flourish has a professional development line item in its budget. We’ll encourage you to pinpoint what you want to learn and support you with time and money to make it happen.

Fitness and Nutrition: We know the value physical fitness and nutrition play for all of us, especially individuals in recovery. Flourish developed a partnership with Warrior Strength, a recovery-based fitness organization, to offer our team members access to weekly workouts as well as nutrition counseling from certified professionals with an understanding of recovery.

Discount Access to all Products: We want our team members to enjoy the baked goods we make. So, as a team member, you’ll enjoy access to our bakery storefront with an employee discount of 20% on products for yourself..

Free Flourish Apparel: When a team member joins us, they receive free Flourish t-shirts. It’s our hope that these gifts help make a new intern or staff member feel a part of the team.
